Canadian Rockies Skiing and Snowboarding Tour
Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places on earth, as vast as it is varied in landscape and experiences. The Canadian Rockies are an exceptional vacation destination you won’t soon forget, filled with unique activities, urban charms and cultural jewels.
You know the feeling of being somewhere and wishing you could stay forever? There are a few places like that in the world, and the Canadian Rockies are one of them. You’ve seen the pictures – dazzling snow capped peaks, frozen emerald lakes, virgin forest, towering waterfalls and wildlife galore. Everywhere you point your camera is alpine eye candy. The Rockies are a network of provincial and national parks that have collectively been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and have been nominated time and again as a “must-see” destination for travelers around the world.
The Canadian Rockies are packed with a wealth of must do activities, set amongst spectacular winter and summer scenery. During the winter whether you’re looking for a ski or snowboarding adventure, ice climbing, snowmobile tour, ice walks, dogsleds, sleigh rides, or sightseeing tours, relaxing in hotsprings or being pampered we have something for everyone on our winter tour.
The fun continues in the summer with a boat-load of activities for the adventurer. Kayak and whitewater raft class III rapids which will get your heart pumping. Zipline and get an aerial view of the incredible scenery or for the not so adventurous take the Gondola up for breath-taking sights. Enjoy boat cruises and relaxing canoe trips among the many lakes. Rock climbing can be found in abundance as this happens to be one of the world’s best climbing areas. Hiking an trekking trails are everywhere to be found where you can blaze your own path or stick to the more common routes. For mountain bikers or cyclist there are cross country trails, road trails, and downhill paths galore to get your pedal on. Looking to do a few different types of riding in the Rockies check out all the horseback riding opportunities or jump on an ATV and carve out your own path. No matter what you’re doing in the Rockies you will see an abundance of wildlife. From the black bear to the grizzly bear, cougars, wolves, coyotes, mountain goats and sheeps, deer, elk and moose you’ll have this feeling of being on your own little safari….Canadian style.

Winter Itinerary
Day 1- Welcome to Calgary the Wild West
Fly to Calgary, Canada
Upon arrival you will be greeted from our staff and transferred to your downtown hotel. You will have the afternoon at leisure to explore this incredible city. Later that evening you will enjoy dinner with the rest of your group and perhaps go out for a few drinks and enjoy the nightlife.
Overnight- Hotel Arts Calgary or something similar
Day 2- Calgary to Banff
After breakfast we will depart for Banff. This morning you’ll enjoy a scenic and beautiful drive to the Rocky Mountains. After checking into your hotel we will enjoy the afternoon snow tubing at Mt. Norquay. The evening will be yours to explore and enjoy the incredible town of Banff.
Overnight- Banff Caribou Lodge & Spa or something similar
Day 3- Skiing/Snowboarding in Lake Louise
After breakfast we will depart for Lake Louise to hit the slopes for a full day of exciting skiing or snowboarding and enjoy the culture and atmosphere of one of the top ski resorts in the world. After returning from our day we will grab a quick bite to eat then head to the Upper Banff Hot Springs http://www.hotsprings.ca/BANFF_UPPER_HOT_SPRINGS.php to enjoy the evening relaxing in the natural hot springs or be pampered with a massage or other therapeutic treatments. With a day off tomorrow this could be a great night to enjoy some live music or nightlife in the city.

Day 4- Free day for your own leisure
This is your opportunity to go exploring yourself or try one of the many activities in and around the area. (Dog sledding, Ice walks, snowshoeing, Banff Gondola ride, or more skiing/snowboarding)
Overnight- Banff Caribou Lodge & Spa or something similar.
Day 5- Sunshine Village Skiing/Snowboarding
After breakfast we are off to Sunshine Village for a little more skiing and snowboarding. After a full day we had back to the hotel and get bundled up for an early evening sleigh ride. The rest of the night is for your leisure.
Overnight- Banff Caribou Lodge & Spa or something similar.
Day 6- Lake Louise Skiing/Snowboarding
We have another fantastic packed full day with another visit to Lake Louise for some skiing and snowboarding. After a full day we head back to the hotel to relax and get ready for our farewell dinner.

Day 7- Iceclimbing/Skating/Night Ski
Today is a packed full day of activities so getting a good full breakfast will be beneficial. Our first activity is iceclimbing. This a half day activity. After lunch will go skating on one of the many frozen lakes in and around town. Grabbing a warm coffee or hot chocolate is a fantastic idea to keep you warm!
After a little rest back at the hotel we will have an early farewell dinner with everyone. Afterwards you will have the option to go night skiing at Mt. Norquay or otherwise the evening is yours free to enjoy.

Day 8- Depart Banff- End of tour
After breakfast we will head back to Calgary and the international airport for your flight home.
Winter add-on
One of the greatest light shows takes place in the northern hemishpere called the aurora borealis. Canada being such a northern country has a front row seat to this exquisite show. The science behind is caused by the collision of energetic charged particles with atoms in the high altitude atmosphere that the earth’s solar wind and magnetic field creates. Odyssey Treks will be presenting this amazing show to you. More details to come!
Summer add-on
The other additional tour will be the Canadian Badlands. With views and unique land formations and a UNESCO World Heritage site this has the beginnings of something extraordinary. With a real western flare and ranch style accomodations you’ll wonder where you are in this world. More details to come!
